We are seeking our first cohort of youth organizers (11th -12th grade) to lead the organization’s youth led projects, support the development of advocacy campaigns and act as mentors/ peer support for middle school youth. Youth Organizers are expected to commit 8 hours a week and will receive service learning hours and a monthly stipend. (Youth Organizers may also have the opportunity to be eligible for scholarships, go on college tours and participate in other professional/personal development)
We are seeking passionate mentors, who are committed to fostering a safe, supportive environment for young people to become civic leaders.. Mentors assist in the implementation of the curriculum; including planning/participating in community service activities and advocacy efforts. Most importantly mentors are expected to be positive role models to the youth. This position is not paid, however a transportation stipend may be offered. Mentors are expected to attend required training(s) and volunteer 3-6 hours per week (3:15p-6:00p)
